2017 Hymer T 698 CL , Golden Limited edition. This motorhome is on a Fiat ducato platform and has the 180 hp 2.3 litre 4 cyl engine. Front wheel drive and a 6 speed automatic transmission . The standard fiat chassis, common on most motorhomes, has been replaced by the Hymer factory with the famous galvanised ALCO chassis which features torsion bar suspension and therefore far superior ride quality over its competitors. We purchased this vehicle new, in 2017 in the UK. Initially manufactured with a 4.5 ton rating was re- rated to 3.5 tons to meet European standards for a NZ drivers licence. NZ WOF giving it a 3.5 ton capacity but it could be re-rated to a 4.5 ton COF if wanted, so 1.5 ton payload. It has 4 seatbelt positions , driver and 3 passengers , central rear, island double bed. The lounge area converts to 2 capacity bed. A separate shower and seperate toilet. bedroom. under the bed which lifts up to give access. The bed is high and facilitates a rear garage. large doors either side it extends the full width. . Store bikes securely internally.The kitchen area is well appointed, large fridge, small oven ,3 burner grill. A large AGM battery, solar panels and a decent size inverter. Truma provides the water heating, very efficient and reliable. Hymer is considered one of the very top brands in Europe, although not common in NZ, they really stand out with a very high quality finish. No cheaply manufactured square edged mdf type construction in here, high end German built excellence is quickly evident on any inspection from anyone who has an eye to see it. A new WOF and registration will come with the sale.I have to confess I am a reluctant seller being emotionally attached to what for me has been the best of the 4 German campers I have owned since 2005.
